ADVOCACY

Birthline's advocates or lay counselors work closely with our clients to encourage them through the process of determining if they are pregnant or not, understanding the choices available, sharing the news with the father and loved ones, figuring out ways to make room for a baby in their lives, helping them make good sexual choices in the future, and sharing the love and forgiveness provided by Jesus Christ. Hours for our advocate positions are typically in three hour blocks on a weekly basis.

COMMUNICATION

If communication to the media or individuals comes naturally to you, there are many ways to use your skills at Birthline. Writing and editing our printed materials, website, and social media outlets are ways to volunteer from home on any schedule. Personal thank you notes to donors or volunteers helps build and maintain relationships with those who share our mission of saving the lives of the unborn. If public speaking is your gift, use it to share why we do what we do, how we do it, and our current needs with small gatherings, hosting a table at events, or even starring in a video production.

VOLUNTEERS

Many short term and non-office hour volunteer opportunities exist that can match your schedule and time frame. A few examples are providing computer support, shopping for Birthline supplies, bilingual translation assistance, teaching about fetal development, serving on our board of directors, tidying up the office area by dusting/sorting/organizing, fundraising, being a prayer warrior, etc. If you have a skill you'd like to share, Birthline probably has a place it can be used to God's glory.

We do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures and risks.
